Karim SETHOM obtain a national diploma of chartered accountant (5 years high level education and 3 years of training period) he gained long experience in several accounting companies, In 2006 he founded Horizons Audit & Consulting.
During his career he had to audit several public sector companies and institutions (Tunisia Telecom, SORETRAS, TRAPSA ETAP …. etc) as well as large companies, SMEs and micro-companies in the private sector (Sotubi, IAT, Hotel Mouradi, Gammart, SOTULUB, Hotel Nahrawess, CABLLAGES ELECTRIC TUNISIA ,Verrerie de Naassen, TIMPHARMA etc ….)
Karim SETHOM acts as visitor professor at the Institute of High studies in Tunis (IHET Tunis) in the fields of accounting and auditing.
He is also regularly invited to conduct training seminars in inter-company and intra-company.
Karim SETHOM is also responsible for supporting new startups in public program financed by minister of Industry (API).
Accompanying Tunisian startups allowed him to participate in the development of several business plans relating to sectors of industry and service, He also had to advise business angels about tax incentives and financial mechanisms (SICAR, FOPRODI, public aids …etc), He could also identify the practical difficulties faced by business angels.
Between 2007 and 2009, Mr. Karim Sethom was elected in the Board of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Tunisia (OECT), he managed the following committees:
- Chairman of the Committee in charge of testing the IFRS standard for SMEs in Tunisia
- Chairman of the committee responsible for promoting the ISAs in Tunisia
- Chairman of the Development profession Committee
- Preparation of the compliance plan of OECT as membership of IFAC (International Federation of Accountants)
During his mandatory, he had to manage working committees, prepare and respond to survey from international organizations (such as the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) …. etc) to represent the profession in meetings and seminars in Tunisia and abroad for this purpose he presented papers and facilitated workshops.
Most recently, SETHOM was part of consultant team in charge to develop the Online Tunisian tax return system as part of a project initiated by the Ministry of Finance and supported by the European Community.
His professional and academic career, permit him to manage a good relationship with internationals companies; in addition Karim SETHOM is fluent in French, English, Italian and of course the native language Arabic.
Ms. Ines Gafsi holds a master’s degree in accounting from the Higher Institute of Accounting and Business Administration (ISCAE), she has several years of teaching at ISCAE, moreover she has assumed the role of technical advisor within the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Tunisia, she had to organize several seminars and conferences, she was also in charge of writing several reports of commissions or committees instituted within the institute of Experts Accountants of Tunisia.
Since 2014, she has joined Horizons-Audit and Consulting, as a manager, she has set up a quality control system and the organization of the various services.
She she advises regularly foreign companies , she has a good knowledge of the practical difficulties facing foreign investors in Tunisia.
Karim BEN ABDALLAH
Mr. Karim Ben Abdallah holds a professional Master’s degree in Banking and Financial Markets, he joined the firm for more than 10 years, he supervises the bookkeeping missions and he is involved in the implementation of the IT organization of the firm.
He is responsible for financial reporting on behalf of companies with international dimension and provides them with periodic assistance.
At the level of the methodology, Karim Ben Abdallah provides support for the design and planning of tasks and the implementation of IT tools.
He guarantees to the company a monitor technological developments to allow access to the most advanced technologies. He is also responsible for the legal and tax update to inform customers of the latest news.
