Tunisia has a young and educated population (340 000 students, including 61% girls in 2012).

Minimum wages guarantees:
- SMIG (Guaranteed minimum wage) monthly regime 48 h = 393,248 Dinars/month.
- SMIG (Guaranteed minimum wage) monthly regime 40 h = 341,698 Dinars/month.
- SMIG (Guaranteed minimum wage) hourly regime 48 hours = 1,717 dinars / hour.
- SMIG (Guaranteed minimum wage) hourly regime 40 hours = 1,763 dinars / hour.
Most of the business sectors are regulated by collective labor agreements, presenting the following characteristics:
– The work force is paid based rate hour.
– Executives are paid in monthly basis.
– The rights of vacation vary between 18 days and one month per year.
– Annually, the employer has to serve a productivity bonus and an end-of-year bonus.
The hourly rates according to some collective labor agreements are:
1- Clothing and hosiery industry:Minimum hourly Rate = 1,826 dinars / hour (level 1/catégorie1) and a median 2,2256 dinar / hour.
