La Tunisie est membre originel de l´Organisation Mondiale du Commerce depuis 1995
La désignation en mai 2015 de la Tunisie en tant qu’allié majeur non membre de l’OTAN. De ce fait, la Tunisie devient le 16ème pays à bénéficier de ce statut, aux côtés de l’Egypte, du Japon, du Maroc et du Bahrein. Ce qui lui donne une garantie de défense et d’assistance militaire de l’OTAN.
